Best CRM for Nonprofits

Most nonprofits want a CRM that costs as close to nothing as possible. One thing up front: the only nonprofit-specific offer in my pricing data is monday CRM, whose pricing page says nonprofits may qualify for free access. Everything else below is here because of its regular free plan or low cost, not a nonprofit discount. If you want to know whether a vendor has a nonprofit program, ask them directly. They're not ranked, and every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page.

Some links are affiliate links. If you sign up through them, crmpicks.org may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How that works.

monday CRM is for teams already using monday.com who want their CRM on the same platform. It's also the only tool here whose pricing page mentions nonprofits: they may qualify for free access. "May qualify" isn't a guarantee, so confirm with monday before you plan around it.

Free plan

None

None for most buyers. There's a 14-day free trial, and nonprofits may qualify for free access.

Cheapest paid plan

Basic at $12/seat/month billed annually, or $18/seat/month billed monthly. Plans start from 3 seats.

Prices last checked October 22, 2026

Watch out

The 3-seat minimum inflates the entry cost. Basic caps at 1,000 active contacts and deals, 1 custom dashboard, 5 columns per board and 20 quotes/invoices per month. The page is inconsistent on the annual discount (the toggle says save 33%, the FAQ says 18%), and prices exclude tax and vary by billing country.

Marketing and CRM

HubSpot

  • Free plan
  • Best for small teams plus marketing

HubSpot is built for small teams that want an easy CRM with marketing tools in the same place. For a small nonprofit sending emails and running forms, the free plan is a reasonable place to start. The limits are 2 users and 1,000 contacts, so a larger donor or volunteer list will outgrow it.

Free plan

Available

2 users, 1,000 total contacts, 10 custom properties, basic CRM, HubSpot branding on emails, forms, live chat and meeting links, and community and knowledge-base support only.

Cheapest paid plan

Starter, with a list price of $20/seat/month. There's a limited-time new-customer offer of $7/seat/month billed annually (annual commitment) or $10/seat/month billed monthly.

Limited-time new-customer dealPrices last checked October 22, 2026

Watch out

The up-to-65% discount is for new customers only and is time-limited. The list price is $20/seat/month. Starter includes 500 HubSpot Credits/month for AI features and agents, with extra credits or overages charged separately, and marketing-contact tiers and add-ons raise the bill.

EngageBay is made for small businesses that want marketing automation, CRM and helpdesk bundled cheaply. What matters for a nonprofit is the free plan: it works for teams of up to 15 members, so staff and key volunteers can all have access. The catch is the 250-contact cap.

Free plan

Available

$0 for teams of up to 15 members: 250 contacts, 1,000 branded emails, 2 lists, 5 custom fields, 1 landing page, 2 email sequences, CRM, helpdesk and live chat.

Cheapest paid plan

Basic at $13.79/user/month billed yearly, or $14.99/user/month billed monthly ($12.74 on biennial billing). Basic includes 500 contacts.

Prices last checked October 22, 2026

Watch out

There's a big jump from Basic to Growth ($59.79 yearly or $64.99 monthly per user) to unlock marketing automation and A/B testing. The page labels are inconsistent (the $14.99 monthly card is captioned "paid yearly"), and the "Starts at $12.74" headline is the biennial rate.

All-in-One Suites

Zoho CRM

  • Free plan
  • Best for Zoho users on a budget
  • Price not verified

Zoho CRM is built for budget-conscious small teams, especially ones already using other Zoho apps, who want an affordable all-in-one CRM. The free plan covers up to 3 users and includes workflow automation, standard reports and data export, which goes a long way for an organization that can't spend anything yet.

Free plan

Available

Forever free for up to 3 users: contact management, follow-up reminders, workflow automation, up to 10 custom email templates, data export up to 10 times, standard reports, 5,000 API calls/day, and mobile apps.

Cheapest paid plan

Not verified

Standard, billed per user/month on monthly or annual billing: see Zoho's site. This price is unverified. It didn't show up on Zoho's pricing page when I checked, so check the vendor page before you count on it. The only figure on the page was Zoho CRM Plus at "Starts at $20/user/month," and that's a different bundle.

Prices last checked October 22, 2026

Watch out

The free plan caps at 3 users, and local taxes are added on top.

SuiteCRM is for organizations that want full control and no per-user licensing cost. If you have someone with IT skills on staff or volunteering, self-hosting means adding users doesn't raise your bill. If you don't, the managed option costs real money.

Free plan

Available

Self-hosted SuiteCRM is free to download with no per-user fees. You pay your own infrastructure costs, and support is through community forums and docs.

Cheapest paid plan

Fully Managed Hosting from £50/month (monthly or annual), which requires Standard Support (£1,200 for 10 hours, 20% off with hosting). The page's example totals £1,560/year (£600 hosting plus £960 support).

Prices last checked October 22, 2026

Watch out

Because managed hosting requires paid support, the realistic entry cost is about £1,560/year, plus an optional £2,520 Quick Start setup. Self-hosting needs in-house IT skills. Prices are in GBP.

FAQ

Do these CRMs have nonprofit discounts?

The only nonprofit-specific offer in my pricing data is monday CRM's: nonprofits may qualify for free access. I'm not listing nonprofit discounts for the others, so if one matters to you, ask the vendor.

Which free plan fits the most people?

EngageBay's free plan covers teams of up to 15 members, but only 250 contacts. Zoho CRM's covers up to 3 users, and HubSpot's covers 2 users and 1,000 contacts.

Is SuiteCRM actually free?

The self-hosted version is free to download with no per-user fees, but you pay for your own infrastructure and need IT skills to run it. Managed hosting requires paid support, which puts the realistic entry cost at about £1,560/year.

How much is Zoho CRM's paid plan?

See Zoho's site. That price is unverified. The Standard plan's price didn't appear on Zoho's pricing page when I checked, so confirm it on the vendor page.
